The Community Stakeholder Panel was established to hold us to account in how we consult the community.
We have made a commitment to inform and consult the community. The role of the Panel is specifically to advise on our plans for How We Will Consult and to make sure we undertake the work effectively. Panel members are independent of First Flight Wind and their remit makes clear that members can participate in the Panel whatever their views on the project.

Purpose of the Stakeholder Panel
The Panel comprises local individuals with a mix of experiences and backgrounds. This ensures that collectively the Panel can comment on how best to engage with the communities in the Mourne Coastal area. The panel is not a technical forum for reviewing the project itself but will act in an advisory capacity with a focus on the delivery of the community stakeholder consultation programme.
Panel Chairman Dr Conor Patterson
The Chairman, Dr Conor Patterson, helps facilitate discussions. He is also Chief Executive of the Newry and Mourne Enterprise Agency, past President of Newry Chamber of Commerce and Trade, and a Governor of Southern Regional College.
Click to read a recent interview with Dr. Patterson, where he discusses his background and his perspective on offshore wind in Northern Ireland.
You can read the group's Remit and Terms of Reference on our Downloads page, along with the panel meeting minutes. Their activities will also be made available through First Flight Wind social media channels and our newsletter.
